Our client is seeking a Financial Services Assistant to join its team in Ridgeland, MS. This is a hands-on position with an investment team that includes day-to-day processes of portfolio management and office duties.

 

Job Duties:

  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients and brokers
  • Manage daily reconciliation tasks
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Produce routine documents and reports
  • Daily portfolio management updates
  • Office administrative tasks such as filing, mail and supplies
  • IRA distributions

 

Requirements:

  • College degree or industry experience
  • 2+ years experience in accounting/bookkeeping
  • Ability to utilize technology to perform all job functions effectively and efficiently
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude with a polite and clear phone manner
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • PLUS: Experience in Portfolio Management Systems
  • PLUS: Experience in Accounting Software such as Sage 50/Peachtree

 

Compensation:

$35-40k DOE
