We are seeking Human Resource Specialist candidates for an independent insurance company. This position requires a highly motivated and skilled professional to perform a wide range of human resource and recruiting responsibilities. Recruiting experience is preferred, but not a requirement. This is an on-site position with limited travel.

Job Duties:

  • Manage all phases of the hiring process from opening the position, applicant screening, interviews, and creating offers to new hire onboarding
  • Participate in college career fairs and other recruiting events
  • Maintain electronic filing system
  • Utilize social media
  • Provide timely responses to emails, voice-mails, and written correspondence
  • Provide generalist human resources assistance as requested
  • Special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • College degree Preferred
  • 2+ years of insurance industry, human resources, or staffing experience Preferred
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented professional with an eagerness for learning
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance/demeanor
  • High degree of initiative
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to travel to recruiting events on a limited basis
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check

Compensation:

  • $45-60K Salary DOE
